We are justly proud of the formal gardens, the domain of Pearl Kidman. Fairbank offers secure perimeters, a new pergola (or sitooterie as the Scots say) with its bistro setting and convivial bench for conversing with those lounging on the verandah; tiny safe pools and miniature fountains, and a pathway for intrepid explorers at the back.
